The Washington County Composite Squadron is part of an organization known as Civil Air Patrol (CAP) and the first to be chartered in the Oregon Wing as Squadron No. 1.
CAP is the official auxiliary of the United States Air Force. Oregon Wing has approximately six hundred members statewide, most have an interest in Aviation,Search and Rescue and/or enjoy helping todays young people grow into the leaders of America. The Cadet program provides America´s youth with exciting and challenging opportunities. Cadets experience the wonder of aviation and space. They are afforded the chance to develop leadership, integrity and self-discipline through programs at both the local and national level. The Senior program gives adult volunteers with a love of aviation and community involvement an occasion to serve with involvement in our three missions of Aerospace Education, Cadet Programs and Emergency Services.
